Once this first section is complete, the league will split into two groups of 6 teams each, each team will then play each other once more for a total of 5 matches. By the season&#039;s end each side will have played 38 matches.<br /> <br /> === Promotion and relegation ===<br /> The New Angus Football Association had announced the creation of a second division known as the Challenge League from the beginning of the 2017-18 season, the league format was to be split for the next season into two leagues of 8 teams each. As the Challenge League already had 4 teams, then 5 would need to be relegated from the Premier League to make the 8 required for the coming season. All 12 member clubs voted in favour of the change.
