Shingoryeoite Superclassique
The Shingoryeoite Superclassique (신고려대제전, Shingoryeo Daejejeon), also known as part of the general Joongsongjeon, is the rivalry between rival multi-sports clubs in CSKA Quebec and Montreal Koreana. Originally deriving from basketball and football rivalries between the two clubs' respective national championships, the term has since been used to apply every match between the two clubs' team sports divisions. Famous across the Multiverse for its intensity and symbolicism, the Superclassique is considered to be one of the most famous sports rivalries in the world, taking greater interest above their respective local rivalries with Levis Athletic and Montreal City.
The Shingoryeoite Superclassique caries significant meaning and connotation due to the metropolises' respective status and proximity to one another, their economic, sociodemographic and even linguistic differences, and not to mention periods of historic dominance and success displayed by both clubs across a large number of sports they represent. In terms of city-to-city significance Songak is the economic capital of the nation whose success was fuelled by the industrial age, while Joongyeong is the political capital with the Parliament and the Daemyeongoong Palace situated in the heart of the capitol. As for the clubs, Koreana and CSKA are often known for contrasting backgrounds and political representations shown between the clubs' local and nationwide ultras. Locally, CSKA is known to represent Joongyeong's working class on the north of the Fleuve-Saint-Henri, while Koreana, coming from the Koreana Society of Shingoryeo, viewed to be a more middle-class, white-collar club representing Shingoryeoite nationalism dating back to the late-1800s Reconquete Movement. The situation flips outside of the locale, however, with CSKA fans skewing more right-wing due to the associations with the Royal Quebecos Armed Forces, while Koreana fans tend to be more known as liberals.
The two clubs are most successful clubs in Quebec and Shingoryeo across various sports, most notably in football where Koreana has won 33 and CSKA 22 domestic titles, on top of cup accolades and consistent representation in the IFCF-level competitions. Featuring some of the more known names of the respective sport, the rivalry is said to be reflected abroad and in different competitions. This is most notable in the Copa Rushmori 43 Final where both finalists, Cassadaigua and Cabo Azure, have featured multiple players and personnel from both teams respectively, including a battle of managers between former CSKA manager Chen Huikang and current Tiger-Phoenixes and Cabo Azure manager A.J. Zanetti.
