The 2023-24 season of the Ysqsy Basketball Association (YBA) is the first season of the highest tier of amateur basketball in Ysqsylandia, featuring clubs in, and around the country's capital city. The league's ten-week regular season will start on December 2nd of 2023 and will end on February 17, 2024, with a two-week break in between for Christmas and New Year's Day. It will be followed by the play-offs, featuring the top four clubs.

Clubs

There are six teams currently competing in the YBA. Below is a table listing each team's stadiums and locations.

Format

Regular season

The regular season has the six teams competing playing in a double round-robin. In other words, all teams will play 10 matches each. It will be held in the dates already mentioned in the introduction of the article. The top four teams at the end of this stage will qualify for the play-offs. The teams will be ranked based on wins. In case of a tie on wins, these tiebreakers will apply:

  1. Head-to-head ranking
  2. Point difference
  3. Points scored
  4. Drawing of lots.

Play-offs

The play-offs will be contested using the Page playoff system.

  • Semifinals: best-of-three series.
    • Minor semifinal: #3 seed plays against #4 seed. The winner qualifies to the preliminary final.
    • Major semifinal: #1 seed plays against #2 seed. The winner qualifies to the final. The loser goes on to the preliminary final.
  • Preliminary final: best-of-three series. The winner qualifies to the final.
  • Final: best-of-one series. The winner wins the YBA championship.
