Series A

Series A is the top level of the Darmeni football league system. It currently features 26 clubs split into two conferences, the Northern and the Southern, of 13 teams each. Clubs play a regular season schedule of 34 games, 24 games against the other clubs in their respective conference (home and away) and 10 games against randomly selected clubs from the other conference (five of which take place at home and five away). At the end of the regular season, the top seven teams in each conference advance to the playoffs, which are contested in a single-elimination format; while the three clubs with the worst record are relegated to Series B. MTK Kingsville are the most successful club to date, having won the league title five times.
