The 2025 DSAFF Comrades Cup, also known as 2025 Comrades Cup or simply Talamia-Yucatan 2025, will be the fifth edition of the Comrades Cup, the most prestigious tournament organized by the football federation of Delusia, the Democratic Socialist Assembly Football Federation (DSAFF). It will take place from June 15th to July 14th 2025 in Talamia and Yucatan.
A total of 64 matches will be played across ten venues in ten different cities, five for each country.
History
The 2025 DSAFF Comrades Cup marked the fifth edition of the tournament and was celebrated as a major milestone by the Democratic Socialist Assembly Football Federation (DSAFF). As such, the federation decided to maintain the now consolidated format of 32 participating teams.
Thirty nations accepted the invitation to compete, while UFS Mexico and Grenadines & Phillips secured their place through the COTEFU qualification pathway. For Mexico, it was a third consecutive qualification after missing the 2022 edition, while Grenadines & Phillips made their first-ever appearance in a DSAFF competition.
Among the thirty-two participants, four nations were making their Comrades Cup debut: Thracia & Crimea, Outer Sparta, Galega, and Grenadines & Phillips. Of these, Galega and Grenadines & Phillips were also making their absolute debut in any official DSAFF competition.
Host nation

The bidding period to host the fifth edition of the Comrades Cup opened on February 17, 2025, and closed on April 15. To commemorate the tournament’s fifth anniversary, Talamia and Yucatan — home countries of the DSAFF President Oiktirmon-Nicao Paidairon and Vice-President Alhelí Romero, respectively — submitted a joint bid.
For Yucatan, this was the second time submitting a joint candidacy, having co-hosted the 2023 Comrades Cup alongside Hortizo. Talamia, a founding member of DSAFF, had already hosted the inaugural edition of the competition. The bid was uncontested and officially approved by the DSAFF Congress on April 15. This marked the first time the two neighboring countries co-hosted a major DSAFF tournament.
The official tournament logo was designed by the Lobiensian design agency Kanfiya. It prominently featured a large “V”, referencing the Roman numeral for five, flanked by feathers of the hoopoe and the quetzal, the national birds of Talamia and Yucatan. At the top, a five-petal floral rosette symbolized the fifth edition and formed a stylized silhouette of five birds in flight along its edge.
Following the 2024 edition, the tradition of official mascots was continued, this time created by Graph studio of Talamia. The two mascots were the tournament’s avian symbols: Ketz, a shimmering quetzal dressed in traditional Yucatec clothing, and Luma, a hoopoe wearing ceremonial Talamian attire.
The official motto of the tournament was: aboVe all, the braVe fly. Inspired by the flight theme and the two mascots, the slogan emphasized the letter “V” to highlight the fifth edition of the Comrades Cup.
