Host Selection
There was only one host bid for the second Aussie Rules World Cup, submitted by Sylestone and Mathuvan Union. It put H2H over goal difference, reasonably unconventional but not unheard of.

Draw
Nations were seeded into one of five pots in the rankings calculated after the first edition. Oddly enough, Sylestone and Mathuvan Union opted to be seeded into their actual pots, not Pot 1, as is usually done. They were assigned groups A and C respectively and the remaining teams were drawn into groups A-D.
