Østad Capital United, commonly referred to as the Capitals, is a Hawklandian professional football club based in Østad. The club competes in the Hawklandian Premier League, the top tier of Hawklandian football. It was a founding member of the Hawklandian Premier League, and is the second most successful club in the history of United Hawkland, behind Royal Ryan Regals.
They play in state of the art Capital Stadium, which is known for its large brick exterior and grand facade. With the renovation that was completed before Season III of the HPL, it is now filled to the brim with LED Lights, prompting the joke among fans, where a fan will say "I got confused on my way to Sunderland" when they arrive to the stadium.
History
Early History and Merger
Østad quickly grew after the arrival of the non-natives to Hawkland and the demand for football immediately grew. Five clubs immediately spawned within the first ten years of the city's existence, namely Østad East, based out of Endricht Avenue, Capital FC, founded by the descendents of Tecr Øs, the first non-native to step foot in Kapuvud, Pillars of Oak, who would one day become Østad Pillar FC , Østad Saint Mary, formed by many of the protestant christians in the area, and finally Østad Battalion Football Club, who were founded by the Østad Defence Militia, a controvercial mafia and defence-for-hire group in the early days of the city. These 6 clubs would all compete in the Østad League, as well as the Kapuvud Championship in the early days of their existence. After around 10 years, the clubs Østad East and Capital FC merged to form Østad Capital United.
