The 2021-22 New Angus Challenge League was the third season of the New Angus Challenge League, the second tier division of New Angusian football. The season began in August 2021.

Eight teams contested the league: Brechin, Broughty Ferry, Birkhill Rovers, Douglas, Friockheim , Glamis, Kirriemuir and Myrekirk FC.

Tournament format and regulations

Format

Each team will play each other 4 times, a total of 28 matches. When the regular season finishes, the team crowned champions would gain promotion to the 2022-23 Premier League, the teams that finsh in 2nd and 3rd will enter the Premier League play-off semi finals, the winner of that match will play the side in 7th place in the Premier League, the winner would secure a place in next season's top division.

Promotion and relegation

The team that finishes in 1st place gains promotion to the top league, the teams in 2nd and 3rd will face off in a two legged tie to decide who will face the 7th placed side in the Premier League in another two legged tie, the winner secures the last place in the Premier League.

The side that finishes bottom of the league will enter a playoff final against the champions of the National League to secure a place in the next season's Challenge League.
