The 2053 Darmeni general election was held in Darmen on Friday, April 25, 2053. All 218 seats in the Parliament of Darmen were up for election, with 110 seats needed to hold a majority.

The Liberal Party, led by the incumbent President Joshua Rademacher, experienced a severe defeat to the Republican Party, with the later party increasing its vote share by 14.0% while the Liberal Party lost 8.5% of its own vote share. Despite the significant victory for the Republicans, the party fell short of the 110 seats needed to have a parliamentary majority. To inch closer to having a majority, the Republicans formed a coalition government with the National Patriotic Party as well as the wizarding Phoenix Party. This coalition could muster only 102 votes, eight shy of an outright majority and therefore constituted a minority, forcing the coalition to seek outside support for its legislative program on a bill by bill basis.
