Etymology
With the exception of Karinthian, all of the native names for Farfadillis derive from Proto-Farolo-Ferdullaelan *farhadils, which comes from *farha "scorched land" and *adil "ours". Languages from other branches of the Farf family eventually adopted the Farolo-Ferdullaelan version. The Karinthian name for Farfadillis, Äb'rähsizr'jwad' derives from äbrä "fire" or "person" and hsizr'jwad "land".
