The Fédération Akachese de Football (abbr. FAF) is the governing body of football in Akach and is based in the capital, Emekula. It was formed in 2306, to formalise the organisation of football in the nation, and oversee the professionalisation of the national league. The FAF joined the DSAFF in 2313, and is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the game of football in Akach, both professional and amateur.
History
Background
Activities
The FAF describes itself in these four roles:
- To organize, develop, and monitor the teachings and practices of football in all its forms within Akach,
- To defend the moral and material interests of Akachese football, including how this interacts with wider Akachese society,
- To create and maintain a link between its individual members, affiliated clubs, and their respective communities,
- To maintain all appropriate relations with foreign associations affiliated with the DSAFF, as well as their sporting organizations and national governments.
The FAF sanctions all competitive football matches in Akach, and notably collaborates frequently with a variety of community-based organisations such as the Harambee Fund and Warriors of Tomorrow. The revenue sharing agreements and salary rules which uphold Akachese socialist values are negotiated and managed by the FAF. The federation is also responsible for appointing the management of all of Akach's national football teams as well as the personnel at the INF Maripaine and the two Ilise-ikeko ("training centres") located in Onega and Karikinui.
