Brechin Football Club are a New Angusian football club based in the city of Brechin. Formed in 2019, they currently compete in the New Angus Premier League and play their home games at Glebe Park. They are the current FA Cup champions having won the competition in 2025.
History
Brechin were founded in 2019 as a merger of two local amateur sides, Brechin Harp and Brechin Wanderers. The club are the New Angusian continuation club of Scottish side Brechin City F.C., who they officially merged with in 2020. Brechin Harp competed in the New Angus FA set up until 2019-20, when Brechin officially took their place.
In their short history, Brechin have won 6 major trophies in New Angusian football. They have won the Premier League and the New Angus FA League Cup once each and have also won the New Angus Challenge Shield and the New Angus FA Cup on two occasions. The club are considered to be one of the biggest teams in New Angus, with the recent successes boosting popularity in the side.
