CAFA LigAnaia I preliminary round

The CAFA LigAnaia I preliminary round was contested by 28 teams. The 14 winners in the preliminary round advanced to the group stage, joining the 18 teams that entered the group stage directly.

Format

Each tie was played over two legs, with each team playing one leg at home. The team that scored more goals on aggregate over the two legs advanced to the next round. If the aggregate score was level at the end of normal time of the second leg, a penalty shoot-out was contested to determine which team advanced.

No seeding was used for the draw, but teams representing the same association could not be drawn against each other. The first team drawn in each tie was the home team of the second leg.
