CAFA LigAnaia I was the inaugural edition of Anaia's premier club football tournament organised by CAFA. Forty-six teams from twenty-three nations competed. The final was played at two venues, due to the format of the competition; the first one at Park der Fründens, in Cersehorst, Saltstead, and the second at Tlanx-Nulzk Hal Elementary School in Space Laser Dinosaur Robot Pirate Land. Ultimately, AC Mariina of Mriin were crowned champions, after a 1–0 win over Saltstead's Royal Michaeltown.
Association team allocation
All CAFA member associations were eligible to enter two teams; with the LigAnaia guidelines suggesting the national champions – however that is determined – along with either the "runners up" (assuming the champions are decided via a league or playoff) or a cup winner be designated as an association's two entrant clubs. LigAnaia organisers noted that they would be flexible in this regard, however, and would permit any two entrants deemed to be of "sufficient sporting merit", as long as one could reasonably be considered the association's champion.
Association ranking
As this was the inaugural edition, associations were ranked based on a combination of IFCF coëfficient and an aggregated value from a number of LigAnaia scouts, in attempt to assess league quality without completely handicapping leagues which did not submit entrants to IFCF competition.[1]

The Final Stage is a seeded, single-legged, double-elimination knockout bracket. Upon a second loss, a team is eliminated from the competition.

The 32 teams were drawn into eight groups of four. For the draw, the teams were seeded into four pots, each of eight teams, based on their pre-tournament ranking.
Teams from the same association could not be drawn into the same group.
A total of 18 national associations were represented in the group stage.

Final Stage
In the final stage, teams play against each other in single-legged ties – with extra time and penalty shootouts as applicable – with the home team determined by seed. The higher seed is the home team in all "winners bracket" matches, and the lower seed is the home team in all "losers bracket" matches, except for the final(s), held at a neutral venue.CAFA LigAnaia I final stage
